If you're receiving weather forecasts or alerts (i.e precipitation alerts or lightning) for areas that you don't service, it's possible that you have an extra forecast zone or two added to your group.
This usually happens during sign up when we auto-populate surrounding forecast sites into your account. To fix this issue, you can remove the additional sites.
To do this, follow the steps below:
- Log into the weather portal at https://portal.ksmi.ca/ and navigate to the Account Settings button at the bottom of the screen.
- Click EDIT on the the zone in question (if you only have one, it's likely named Primary and you only have one to select).
- A list of forecast weather sites will appear.
- If you see a site in the list that doesn't make sense, click Add or Modify Forecast Sites, then click DELETE on the site you wish to remove.
- You can repeat this for as many sites as you wish, but ensure you leave at least one site in your group.
